[edit] Character Biography

Yamamoto Takeshi (Commonly referred to as 'Yamamoto') is a baseball crazed young school kid. He is friendly to everyone and is warm hearted and compassionate to them, despite which side they're on. It's rare to find an occasion as to him or smiling or finding a reason to be happy. He was at first naive, however, thinking that Reborn's pet Chameleon was an advanced children's toy and that the mafia was a large game of Cops-and-Robbers.

He is portrayed as a typical Japanese teenager, even through his name; The names 'Takeshi' and 'Yamamoto' are all common Japanese names. He looks like an ordinary Japanese teenager and lives Baseball. His family own a Sushi shop and sometime later he uses a Katana.

[edit] Personality

Yamamoto is the kind of character that makes everyone his friend, and if friendship isn't achievable, he holds some sort of respect for them. People such as Hibari Kyoya have become interested in his battles whereas Squalo have shown interest in his progress as a swordsman. He becomes easily frustrated and angry when his friends are hurt or injured. He is willing to sacrifice whatever he has to in order to protect or save his friends, a trait he shares with the First Rain Guardian.

Despite being a generally easy going guy (sometimes seemingly acting so deliberately to annoy Gokudera), he is actually a skilled swordsman and a hitman. Reborn sees that Yamamoto has talent and often tells Tsuna that Takeshi is a natural born killer. His flexibility and strong physique from years of sports gives him a natural advantage over the others, he is shown to be able to dodge cannon fire and wayward fireworks. Yamamoto is also a very quick learner, being able to learn and perfect all 8 styles of Shigure Soen despite only being shown once. He is also very adaptable to any situation, being able to create new forms in a life or death situation. He also managed to develop 2 of his own forms as well as a new form of the style of Shigure Soen Ryu, the ninth form, in which he combines all techniques together in one 'all-out' attack.

In the Future Arc he is shown to be comfortable being part of the Mafia.

[edit] Abilites and Weapons

Yamamoto uses the style that was taught to him by his father, Shigure Soen, upon learning the technique he was also given the Shigure Kintoki, a shinai that transforms into a Katana when using the Shigure Soen style. His father taught him the 8 forms, 4 offensive and 4 defensive. Since this training and learning of the 8 forms Yamamoto has created several new forms during his training with Squalo and most recently has created a Aggregate Art in which he merges all forms together. Not only this but he has been trained successfully to fight in the air and detect invisible box weapons with his ring flame.

[edit] Weapons

  • Yamamoto's Bat: This was given to Yamamoto by Reborn just before the events of the Kokuyo Arc. It was his primary weapon of choice before later being given the Shigure Kintoki by his father, and learned the Sword Art of Shigure Soen Ryu. The bat, when swung at a speed of 300km per hour transforms into a Katana for him to use.
  • Shigure Kintoki: This is a Katana passed down to him from his father before his representative battle for the title of Rain Guardian. It takes on the appearance of a shinai that transforms into a Katana when Shigure Soen Ryu is used.
  • Vongola Rain Ring: Won during the battle for the Vongola Rain Ring against Superbi Squalo, it is a key member of the Tri-Ni-Set and is an S-Rank Ring. In the Future, all the Vongola Rings were destroyed by Tsuna so that Byakuran could not complete the Tri-Ni-Set. However, all the Vongola rings were brought back from the past when the Ten Year Bazooka was used. Yamamoto is capable of using Rain Flames by using the Vongola Ring and it's attribute of tranquility, which can diffuse all other Dying Will Flames. He can also use the heat emitted from the ring to sense the presence of incoming attacks or enemies. The Tenth Generation Vongola Guardians were accepted by Vongola Primo and his guardians during the final battle with Byakuran and given acces to their true forms.
  • Rain Vongola Box Weapon: Yamamoto's Vongola box is unique in the sense that it contains not one, but two individual animals; one being Jirou the Rain Akita (Akita di Pioggia ver. Vongola) and the other being Kojirou the Rain Swallow (Rondine di Pioggia ver. Vongola). Jirou helps and holds his three small Rain Blades that he uses to propel himself around the battle field with by using Rain Flames and he uses Kojirou to shower his opponents in the Rain's attribute of tranquility.
  • Cambio Forma: Ugetsu Asari's Four Irregular Swords (Change Form: Morning Benefit Moon Obscured by Rain): Yamamoto fuses Kojirou with his Shigure Kintoki to create a more decorated version of his Katana, with Kojirou's wings adorning the guard of his sword and donning the roman numeral I, and Jirou provides Yamamoto with his three short swords. It is said that these were the weapons used by the Primo Rain Guardian, Ugetsu Asari. In his Vongola X form, he only has two swords with guards around his wrists.
  • Water: In the future Yamamoto is shown to have a Box Weapon that emits a wall of water to protect against incoming attack and enemy flames.
  • Motorcycle During the Choice battle it was used to travel the expansive urban battle area. It was powered by Yamamoto's dying will flame and completely covered in the material to make Mammon's Chains to prevent the vehicle being detected.
  • Necklace of the Rain Version X: The upgraded version of the Vongola Rings into the Vongola Gear. It takes the form of a necklace with a sword and Jirou.

[edit] Abilities

  • Shigure Soen Ryu : It is called the "Invincible Sword Style", and for several reasons; one being that it originated from one man and was passed down in a family tree style. As the technique was passed down more and more styles were added. It's common for the user of the style to each add another style to the art form and the entire style varies depending on the person using it. However as the new branches are made the weaker forms are eventually killed off and the strongest ones remain, making it a perfect and flawless style.
